Gyms are a great place to start a digital signage advertising network as they usually have screens already installed throughout the gym. They are usually set to random channels and muted so music can play throughout the gym. You can utilize one of their screens by installing a media player and sell ad spots complete with design from $500 to $2500 per year depending on the gym’s popularity and traffic. In exchange for allowing you to install a media player to one of their screens, you can offer free ad spots to the gym so that they can advertise their private lessons, juice bar, or anything else they wish to advertise. They can also showcase training tips. People tend to spend about an hour in a gym, so a screen dedicated with ads will be viewed multiple times throughout the hour. A gym is also great leverage when deploying a digital signage network, as you can offer other host locations an ad spot within the gym for free, or for a discount, in exchange for becoming a host location, thus expanding your network. Should the gym have other locations as part of their franchise, you can also offer the same deal so as to deploy in all their locations.
